IS-MPMI member Paola Bonfante recently informed IS-MPMI that the 2nd International Congress on Strigolactones (ICS2017) will be held March 27-30 in Turin, Italy.

Strigolactones are newly discovered phytohormones that contribute to defining plant morphology in response to environmental conditions and biotic/abiotic stress, and to the dialogue with organisms in the rhizosphere. In the last years, Strigolactones have become a cutting-edge topic in plant biology and agronomy, and have great potential in modern agriculture.

The ICS2017 will refresh the interdisciplinary, collaborative atmosphere in the Strigolactone scientific community as well as set up an inspirational meeting for young scientists. The symposium program features special and plenary lectures, invited lectures, short communications, poster sessions, and exhibitions. Top-level academics and established leaders in the field, young and emerging investigators, as well as leading scientists from the industry will share their results and knowledge.
