Applicants who are either students, post docs, or early career researchers are eligible to apply for travel funding. Early career is defined as individuals who have received a Ph.D. no more than 5 years prior to application and are working professionally in molecular plant-microbe interaction research. You will be asked to provide the year you received your Ph.D.
Travel award funding is limited. The actual amount of an award depends on the travel distance to the place of the meeting and the quality of applications.
Applicants must submit an abstract and be the designated presenting author. Only one travel award application should be completed regardless of the number of abstracts submitted.
Review and selection of recipients is based on the quality of the applicant's science reflected in the research abstract, impact statement, and curriculum vita.
Those selected to receive travel funds are required to be registered for the 2025 IS-MPMI Congress by the presenter registration deadline.

The application process is incorporated into the
2025 IS-MPMI Congress abstract submission process opening January and closing 26 March.
In addition to your research abstract, applicants will be asked to provide additional information.
