​We are exci​ted to offer the 2022 Early Career Showcase, which provides the opportunity for senior graduate students and postdoctoral scholars to present their research to colleagues and industry leaders.

Feel free to nominate yourself or a colleague who meets the below criteria. Please review all guidelines and form information before beginning your nomination. 

Nomination Criteria:

  • Ideally, we are looking for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars in the advanced stages of their projects to raise awareness of their work and support their trajectory to their next positions.
  • Candidates should represent the diversity of our community broadly defined (gender, race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, physical abilities, and geography).
  • Research should be addressing fundamental knowledge in plant-microbe interactions toward greater understanding, appreciation, and sustainable use of plants and the environments in which they grow.
  • Scope of work should reflect that of an early career researcher (i.e., work in-progress, technology and model system development, collaborations that unite researchers towards common, long-term goals in the lab and in agriculture).

Nomination Materials:

Nominations should include the following information:

  • Candidate's name, current position & location
  • List of the candidate's training:
    • Undergraduate degree, university & location
    • Graduate degree, mentor, university & location
    • Postdoctoral position, mentor, university & location
  • Short description of the candidate's current research project (title + description, 200 words max)
  • Short description for how the candidate supports IS-MPMI's effort to include voices and perspectives from diverse backgrounds (200 words max)
