Cologne Childcare Resources

There is no on-site childcare provided by IS-MPMI at the 2025 IS-MPMI Congress. We have compiled a list of websites to help find caregivers and resources in the Cologne area. This list of resources does not constitute endorsement by IS-MPMI and IS-MPMI claims no responsibility for anyone’s experience in using them. Resources are listed in alphabetical order.

Onsite Safety Protocols

IS-MPMI welcomes attendees with children. Children are permitted in all sessions at the 2025 IS-MPMI Congress, including Plenary, Concurrent, and Poster Sessions; this includes baby-wearing of young children. IS-MPMI asks that all children over the age of 5 have a name badge created for them at registration.

To ensure the safety of all children in attendance and to create a productive and fulfilling congress atmosphere for all attendees, we ask all parents and caregivers to abide by the following guidelines and requirements:

  • All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult in all meeting areas.
  • Parents and caregivers should do their best to ensure that children are not disruptive in any sessions they attend (including poster sessions). No running or rough play will be permitted, and parents/caregivers may be asked to leave the space by event staff if the child(ren) are causing a distraction.
  • Parents and caregivers who need to leave the session room will be able to listen to an audio/slide capture of most scientific sessions on-demand after the Congress.
  • For safety reasons, children are not permitted in the Poster Hall during set-up or break-down times.
  • All children aged 6-17 must have a ticket (purchased separately through registration) to the Opening Reception and Congress Closing Party to attend these events.
