Greetings! Welcome to the relaunched website of IS‑MPMI. Scientific societies play vital roles in the lives of scientists. IS‑MPMI supports career development by providing forums for the exchange of ideas that can lead to collaborations, and platforms for dissemination of the latest discoveries through Webinars, Newsletters and our Biannual International Congresses.
In relaunching our website, we have reactivated our Youtube Channel. Please visit our channel to see previous webinars, and workshops and look for our new content over the next year, including our Webinar series: Road to Jeju series including Legends of IS‑MPMI and Rising Stars of IS‑MPMI. Our first Legends of IS-MPMI Webinar by Roger Innes along with a Question and Answer session is already posted there.
One student or postdoc participating in the Rising Stars series will be selected to give a GetGenome-sponsored award talk at our 2027 Congress in Jeju. This person and a Tanon Excellence Award Winner will receive registration and travel support. Read about this important opportunity.
We have a new Global South Initiative aimed at improving the demographics of our society and engaging more with scientists who were not traditionally members of IS‑MPMI. Look for the details on our membership options page and watch for additional details on our social media pages and membership emails.
Our newly launched website includes a free job board for members, a bulletin board where events can be posted, and information about our upcoming Congress and Webinars. We are now a fully self-managed volunteer society. The IS‑MPMI board wants to increase member engagement, and we hope you and your lab will be part of that as we develop our priorities.
