Join Our Global Community Advancing Plant Science for a Sustainable Future

The International Society for Molecular Plant-Microbe Interactions (IS-MPMI) has more than 1,000 members from more than 40 countries researching molecular aspects of microorganisms interacting with plants and the consequences of such interactions. IS-MPMI membership runs on an anniversary basis. Your IS-MPMI membership will officially begin on the day you join and will be available for 12 months. Renew for two years and enjoy a 20% discount on membership dues!

We are offering a 50% discounted membership for researchers based in the Global South, available to all researchers whose primary affiliation is in a country on the Global South eligibility list. To access the discounted payment options, please enter your eligible country in the “Country” field on the form below.

To be eligible for the complimentary Scientists from Developing Economies membership, an individual must reside or be working in a qualifying country based on the World Bank’s low-income and lower-middle income economies. When completing the form, please enter your eligible country in the “Country” field and you will see this membership option.

IS-MPMI’s president will cover the membership cost of the first 25 students and postdocs from the Global South who request a waiver, so they can enjoy a free two-year membership to IS-MPMI. Write to contact@ismpmi.org for information.

Any early-career researcher from a Global South country selected to present in the Rising Stars of IS-MPMI webinar series will receive a four-year IS-MPMI membership package: one year of complimentary membership (Year 1), followed by three years at 30% of the full membership rate (i.e. a 70% discount off the full rate, applied in Years 2–4), starting from July 2026. This package is independent of the 50% Global South discounted membership. Please reach out to contact@ismpmi.org for your discount code if eligible.
